Lodge at Stehekin FAQs

General FAQs

North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin is located at the north end of Lake Chelan in Central Washington and the North Cascades Lodge is located at #1 Stehekin Landing, at the boat dock. There are no roads to get to Stehekin, and the most common method of getting to Stehekin is to take one of the Lady of the Lake passenger boats or Stehekin Ferry from the town of Chelan, WA.

You may also travel the lake in your own private boat (fuel is available in Stehekin). There are a few private pilots who bring their planes into the Stehekin airstrip.

In the summer, another option is to hike in on one of the many trails that lead here, see the Backpacking section for details.

Guests typically arrive by the Lady of the Lake boat ferry (also known as Lake Chelan Boat Co.), the Stehekin Ferry from Chelan, or by hiking 23 miles from Highway 20 to High Bridge.

The lodge offers a variety of non-smoking rooms with different sizes and layouts, including options with full kitchens. Pet friendly and ADA accessible accommodations are available.

Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 10:30 am.

Due to the boat schedule, it may be necessary to store your luggage prior to check-in or after you check out. We have some storage area in the General Store; just be sure to take your luggage to the boat and put them next to the appropriate destination sign before boarding the boat. Lodge staff meet The Lady of The Lake to provide luggage assistance for our arriving and departing guests.
Housekeeping services are not done during your stay. Linen and towel replacements are offered by request. If at any time during your stay you need anything, please let one of our staff members know and we’ll gladly help.
